		<description>Well, I&#039;m happy (not overly because I could really care less about White County) that despite all the misleading statistics and pictures of crunched cars the CFCFV was unable to defeat the referendum to legalize the purchase of beer and wine.  58.3% of the voters voted in favor of the referendum so I think it&#039;s pretty clear what the citizens prefer.  However, the 41.7% that voted against it can still exercise their preference to not purchase the alcohol.  The referendum will only ALLOW the sale . . . not FORCE the sale.  I suppose it will be pretty agonizing to see a 6-pack sitting in a grocery store beer cooler but I think those religious elite that are so strongly against alcohol will learn to adapt.
